DOO JOON

Yoon Doo-joon (Hangul: 윤두준), the leader of the group. He was born in Seoul, South Korea on July 4, 1989.[82] Prior to his debut with Beast, he was a trainee at JYP Entertainment and was featured in the Mnet documentary Hot Blooded Men with 2AM and 2PM, but was eliminated along the course of the show.[83] He then moved to Cube Entertainment and was featured as a rapper in AJ’s “Wipe the Tears”.[84] After his debut with the group, he became part of Danbi[85] and debuted as an actor through More Charming by the Day and All My Love.[86]


 HYUN SEUNG
Jang Hyun-seung (Hangul: 장현승) was born on September 3, 1989.[82] He is a lead vocalist and the lead dancer. He first received media attention as a trainee under YG Entertainment with the nickname So-1 when he was preparing to debut as a member of Big Bang. He appeared in 10 out of 11 episodes of the Big Bang Documentary, but wasn't chosen to be a part of the final group formation by YG's president because his maturity hadn't fully developed yet and was not ready to be a singer.


JUN HYUNG

Yong Jun-hyung (Hangul: 용준형),[82] the main rapper of the group, was originally named as Yong Jae Soon (Hangul: 용재순) but had changed his name during his 6th grade.[87] He was born in Seoul, South Korea on December 19, 1989.[82] He was once a member of the boyband “Xing” along with Kevin from U-KISS and was known as Poppin’ Dragon when he was promoting with them. He featured in various singles as a rapper from different artists such as labelmates Hyunah’s “Change”[88] and G.NA’s “Kkeojyeo Julge Jar Sara” (꺼져 줄게 잘 살아, lit. I’ll Back Off So You Can Live Better),[89] Young Jee’s "Crazy, that's what love is",[90] Navi’s "Go Again" and Wheesung’s “Words That Freeze My Heart”.[91]


 YO SEOB

Yang Yo-seob (Hangul: 양요섭) was born in Seoul, South Korea on January 5, 1990.[92] He’s the main vocalist of the group and was once a back-up dancer for AJ’s music videos for “Dancing Shoes" and "Wiping the Tears".[93] He released a digital single together with Dalmatian’s Daniel titled “First Snow and First Kiss” [94] and participated in singing OST’s for various Korean dramas such as “Happy Birthday” for More Charming by the Day[95] and “I Cherish That Person” for My Princess.[96] and "Loving You" - for All My Love.He also became a permanent cast member on KBS's Oh! My School (a.k.a. 100 Points out of 100), along with other idols such as MBLAQ's Lee Joon, Secret's Hyosung, T-ara's Soyeon, Miss A's Min, and Simon D.[6].In March 20th to April 10th 2011,BEAST's Yoseob has casted in 'Gwanghwamun Sonata The Musical' as Jiyong,the son of the two leading role. BEAST's Yoseob was featured in Bang Yong Gook's first solo track, "I remember" which was jointly composed by One Way’s Chance and Bang Yong Gook himself. On September 27th, KBS‘s ‘Poseidon‘ released part one of their OST series, which featured the vocal talents of B2ST‘s Yang Yoseob. Yoseob’s new song, “No“, was a collaboration piece between Rado (of Huh Gak‘s “Hello“) and production duo Ji In and Wontag, the men behind MBLAQ’s latest releases. The song features sorrowful lyrics of a man who has no choice but to let go of his lover..[97].


AJ

Lee Gi-kwang (Hangul: 이기광) was born on March 30, 1990.[92] He is a lead vocalist and the main dancer. He was known as the solo singer AJ or Ace Junior when he first debuted and released a mini-album "First Episode: A New Hero” on April 4, 2009.[98] He met controversies when his name created dispute among netizens for having a similar name with Paran’s AJ (Later became the new U-KISS member). He now goes with his original name when he redebuted with Beast.[99] He debuted as an actor through High Kick Through the Roof[100] and was also casted in a role for My Princess.[101] He also became an MC for different shows such as Hot Brothers,[102] Win Win[103] and SBS Inkigayo.


DONGWOON

Son Dong-woon (Hangul: 손동운), was born in was born in Seoul, South Korea on June 6, 1991.[92] He is the group's Maknae (youngest member) and a vocalist of the group. Dong Woon was a trainee from JYP Entertainment for 2 years, and was the last member chosen to join Beast. In December 2010, Dong Woon released a digital single "Udon" together with Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung, however, it wasn’t broadcasted in any of South Korea’s 3 main broadcasting stations because the title of the song was in Japanese.[104]

BEAST/B2ST

Beast (비스트, stylized as BEAST or B2ST) is a boy band from South Korea that consists of six members, under Cube Entertainment. The members are Yoon Doo-joon, Jang Hyun-seung, Yong Jun-hyung, Yang Yo-seob, Lee Gi-kwang and Son Dong-woon. The group was originally known as B2ST, an acronym for Boys 2 Search for Top.[1] However, their name was changed to BEAST (Boys of East Standing Tall).[2] They released their first mini-album Beast Is The B2ST on October 14, 2009.[3]


SHIN SOOHYUN
Soohyun (Shin Soohyun) (Hangul: 신수현) Born on March 11, 1989. Shin Soohyun is the newly appointed leader and main vocalist of the group. Previously, Soohyun was a trainee under JYP Entertainment and also a Good Entertainment trainee. He is the power vocalist of the group, as he is noted for his powerful singing style. He has two sisters, one older and one younger. His father passed away when he was in the second grade of Junior high school. His specialities are R&B, dancing, soccer, and piano.


LEE KI SEOP

Kiseop (Lee Kiseop) (Hangul:이기섭) Born on January 17, 1991. He is a vocalist and the main dancer of the group. Kiseop is known for being an Ulzzang Eoljjang ‘best face’ in Korea. His special ability is martial arts (Taekwondo), Beat boxing, dancing and acting. He loves photography and lists it as one of his hobbies. He is living with his parents and older sister who are all Buddhist. Kiseop joined U-KISS in 2009 with the release of Man Man Ha Ni, which made the group become a seven-membered group.


ELI

Eli (Kim Kyoung Jae) (Hangul: 김경재) Born on March 13, 1991. His English name is Ellison, which his nickname Eli derives from. He is the main rapper and vocalist of the group. Eli was born in Washington, D.C. and is fluent in English. He studied abroad in Beijing and can speak Mandarin fluently. His family consists of his parents, older sister, and younger sister. He is a Christian. His specialities are Taekwondo and Kung Fu.


AJ

AJ(Hangul:김재섭) Born on June 4, 1991. He is better known as AJ, and is the second addition to the group after Alexander and Kibum's departure from the group. AJ is fluent in Korean and English as he went to an international school in Korea before. Formerly he was the youngest member of the group Paran. Due to the other members leaving for the army or pursuing solo activities, the group virtually disbanded, with no formal announcement. He currently goes to Columbia University. AJ is the lead rapper, vocalist, and dancer in U-KISS.


HOON

Hoon (Yeo Hoon Min) (Hangul:여훈민) Born on August 16, 1991. He is known as Hoon, and is the first addition to the group after Alexander and Kibum's departure from the group. He is one of the two lead vocalist. Before joining the group, Hoon had a solo career and previously released one album. He is currently attending Dong Guk University majoring in theater. Hoon is also a Taekwondo athlete, and briefly made a cameo in SBS's drama Athena as a bodyguard of President.


KEVIN

Kevin (Woo Sung Hyun) (Hangul:우성현), Born on November 25, 1991. Korean name: Woo Sunghyun (Hangul:우성현). Kevin is the other lead vocalist and the second main vocalist of the group. He was born in Danville, California, United States and is fluent in English. He attended Monte Vista High School. Before debuting with U-KISS in 2008, he debuted in 2006 with a rotational group called XING alongside his former group-mate Marumir otherwise known as Kibum until he left the group and joined U-KISS. Kevin is well known for his flexibility and ability to cover girl group dances. He was the host of Arirang TV's radio show Pops in Seoul with group-mates Eli and Alexander. His specialities are popping dance, guitar, and piano. He has one older sister, and he is a Christian.


DONGHO

Dongho (Shin Dongho) (Hangul: 신동호) Born on June 29, 1994. He's the youngest member of the group. Dongho is the lead rapper, lead dancer, vocalist and maknae of the group. Dongho can communicate in Mandarin because he studied in Beijing, China at a young age. Currently Dongho is attending Hanrim Entertainment Arts School. Dongho is the most active member of the group, and participated in a number of projects such as acting in dramas and multiple variety shows. Because of his activities, the other members stated that Dongho is the one who makes U-KISS receive more popularity and are thankful to Dongho because of that. Recently, Dongho gained a lot of attention after his cameo in the movie "My Black Mini Dress" with Yoo In Na.

U-KISS (Korean: 유키스) is a South Korean boy band formed by NH Media in 2008. The members include Shin Soohyun, Ellison Kim (also known as Eli), Kevin Woo, Shin Dongho, Lee Kiseop, Hoon and AJ (both joined the group in 2011). Alexander (Xander), and Kibum, are former members of U-KISS. U-KISS stands for Ubiquitous Korean International (Idol) Super Star.[1][2] They debuted in Japan on August 15, 2008 and in South Korea on August 28, 2008. Later in late 2009, six-member U-KISS was turned into seven-member U-KISS with the addition of Lee Kiseop.[3] When the original members Alexander Lee Eusebio and Kim Kibum's contracts were terminated in early 2011, they were replaced by Hoon and AJ. Hoon was previously known as a solo artist, while AJ is a former member of NH Media's group, PARAN.
